Privacy Policy

What data we collect

Website: When you purchase, we collect your email address and purchase history. Payment details (card numbers, billing info) are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

Plugin: During activation and deactivation, the plugin sends your machine's ID (a SHA256 hash — not raw hardware info), OS type, and machine name to our server. This information is stored only as part of your activation record and is never used for tracking. Bonfire Bass does not phone home during normal use. After activation, the plugin runs fully offline.

How we use your data

We use your data to: manage your license and account, send transactional emails (purchase confirmation, password reset), and provide customer support. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Third parties

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.

Data retention

We retain your account and license data for as long as your account is active. Activation records (including machine history) are retained for audit purposes. You can request deletion of your account and data by emailing hello@bonfireaudio.com.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email hello@bonfireaudio.com to make a request. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication when you are logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will use a cookie-free analytics tool (such as Plausible) and update this policy.
